Mitchell Rothman is a long-term Reconstructionist and one of the first members of Congregation Darchei Noam, Toronto’s Reconstructionist synagogue. He has served Darchei Noam in several Board capacities, including President. For Darchei Noam, he was one of the speakers in a four-part series on Reconstructionism. The talk on Mordecai Kaplan’s diaries was first given as an adult study session at Darchei Noam. Mr. Rothman has actively participated in several previous Toronto Limmud events as an event organizer, as a member of the programming committee and as an attendee. He also has extensive teaching and speaking experience: as an economist, he has spoken often on energy economics, taught economics at Carnegie-Mellon University, York University and the University of Toronto and he is a frequent speaker at Darchei Noam.
