Irwin Huberman, 66, has served since 2007 as rabbi of Congregation Tifereth Israel in Glen Cove, NY. During this time, the congregation has experienced a 250 percent increase in membership. In 2003, Rabbi Huberman left a highly successful career in government and corporate communications to attend New York's Academy for Jewish Religion where he graduated in 2010. Prior to entering the rabbinate, Rabbi Huberman served as Communications Director for Alberta Environment, and then Ontario Environment. In 2001, he authored a best-selling book highlighting the growth of Fort McMurray and the oil sands industry. He is a former award-winning newspaper publisher and in 1985 was named as one of Alberta's 10 top entrepreneurs.
Rabbi Huberman also speaks on a variety of ethical and communications issues including “Gossip and Slander within the Internet Revolution,” and “Foolproof Marketing for Non-Profit Organizations.”

He was recently featured on the front page of New York's Jewish Week as one of New York’s new generation of “unorthodox” rabbis.
